Two weeks and our mission will be divided! I can't believe it! I am very excited for the advancement of the Lord's work, but I will miss President Wilkinson and his amazing family.
This week was pretty great. We found some great investigators and we really saw how the Lord puts everything in its place. On Saturday, we found a great family (Ma, Mi, and their son S)!
Preach My Gospel is an inspired missionary tool. It teaches us that as we look for opportunities to find people, we should look to serve. We found a couple moving some pieces of wood and cement from their house to the street. We started helping them and before we knew it, they invited us into their home and made us food. They are so amazing! They recently moved to the neighborhood and was so grateful to get to know someone that lived close to her. They also want to come to church! Yesterday they couldn't because they are house-sitting, but they said that the next Sunday, they would come. They are so prepared!
L, an 8-year-old investigator that we consider an "eternal" (because she has come to church for a long time, but hasn't been baptized), will be baptized this weekend! The only thing that stopped her was that her mom wouldn't give permission. She's a less-active that lives in another area. But, now she's given permission! L is so happy!
Thanks for tuning in on another week... one of the last weeks in the Costa Rica, San Jose Mission... New things are happening!
Love you all!
Hermana Whitman
P.S. Here's a great picture of us trying to get people to come to their door. ;) We went to visit a less-active and they couldn't (or didn't want to) hear us. Here in Costa Rica, the doorbells are INSIDE the porch... so we put to use the giant umbrella my companion has. Haha! :)
