We had transfers this weekend! My companion and I were expecting to both stay or that I go since I have more time in our area but... my companion was transferred! She will be going to Santo Domingo, Heredia. It's still in our zone, so I will be able to see her a lot. For this transfer, I have been assigned to be a trainer! I am nervous and excited. Although I feel scared to be in charge of a new missionary, I know the Lord will help us both. He always prepares those whom He calls.
R and O came to church! They are doing so well! R is slowly dropping coffee and is so strong in her decision to do it! She told us that when they went grocery shopping they bought agua dulce instead of coffee! Agua dulce is a hot drink made from water or milk and brown sugar. It's a little different from that but that's the best way to explain it. I am so proud of them!
J is doing well as well! She has been fasting a lot lately and praying for a job. She has applied and been interviewed, but they haven't called her back. She has told us that she will not be baptized soon because she doesn't want to make such a serious decision without knowing everything. We explained a little that baptism is only the door to her eternal progression and that we will never stop learning.
We met a new investigator this week. Her name is L and she is actually the founder of a church in our neighborhood. It was a great first visit. We will see what happens with her. We found two families this week: S (we still have to meet her husband), and her two young sons, and F and R and their twins! They are so great! F and R are planning on getting married in March and we have offered to help them with that. The Lord has truly guided us to the people we needed to find.
This is pretty much all I have to report for this week. I love you all and I hope you are all finding ways to share the Lord's gospel. <3
Con todo mi amor,
Hermana Whitman
