Well, as the title of this week's e-mail states, these have been months of miracles and I know we will continue seeing miracles throughout this year.
On Wednesday, we met with a referral from some sisters in another area. Her name is J and she is golden! She and her husband are from Colombia. In our first lesson with her, she told us straight out that although she is married according to the records, she has fallen out of love with her husband, J, and that they still live together for their 7-year-old son, A. She also told us that she would not go to church with us. Apparently she has studied with many churches and she feels just fine going to mass in the Catholic church. We had a very powerful lesson with them as we testified of the love that our Heavenly Father has for us. We also taught about tithing. They told us they had been passing through a difficult financial situation. Although my mind told me that tithing was a little advanced for the first visit, I felt the spirit guiding us to teach about the blessings of paying tithing. The next lesson we had, J told us that she wanted to pay her tithing and wanted to know how to do it. Apparently she had found some money in her home that had not been there before and knew she needed to tithe. That same day, she had received a call for a job interview! We were all able to witness the blessings the Lord is pouring out upon her and her family. And... on Sunday... she came to church with us. During the third hour, we watched a presentation of the Area Plan the Area Presidency has for Central America and they talked about tithing 2 times. I testify that there is a purpose for everything and that the Lord knows what He is doing!
R and O are doing really well! They haven't been able to come to church these past two weeks but they are still progressing so well. I can't wait to see them sealed in the temple!
This weekend we were able to witness two baptisms: I and D. We had a sweet baptismal service for I on Saturday and another for D on Sunday. These are two amazing women! I love them so much and I know that the Lord has much in store for them! And.. M came to church on Sunday for D's baptism. Even though he was bitter about the whole thing, I know he's coming around.
This Saturday, we will be having another baptism. His name is A and he has been investigating the church for over 7 years. His wife is a member and he told us a few months ago that in January, he would be baptized. Now that we are in January, we were able to meet with him and he is so prepared. He is actually more doctrinally prepared than many members. We were able to have a great lesson with him and as he said the closing prayer, he started to cry. He told us after the prayer that he had been waiting for an answer and that in that moment, he had received it. This gospel is true. I know it is!
The Lord listens to our prayers. I testify of that. He is guiding this work and it is up to us if we are going to catch the train or not. My suggestion: CATCH IT! It's only through this gospel that we find TRUE happiness. I love this work and I love you all! Look for the miracles in every day, they are there. Until next week!

P.S. I forgot to say.. another great experience from this week: I totally flooded my apartment! So that was great (hehe). I was trying to fix the toilet and I did.. until the top fell and hit the water tube and there was water shooting EVERYWHERE! Pictures will be coming this next week because I accidentally left my camera in the Mission President's house yesterday (we had breakfast at his house with Sister Wilkinson!).
